Abstract
Abstract
Norm-avoidance is one of the concepts and terms of formalist criticism and formalism, and refers to deviation from the rules governing the language of the norm and disrupting the harmony and order of conventional and normal language. This method is one of the most important methods of highlighting and removing familiarity in language, and poets have used it a lot to show their poetic power. In Leach's theory, norm deviation is presented in different forms such as "lexical", "syntactic", "phonetic", "written", "semantic", "dialectal", "stylistic" and "temporal" norm deviation. In this research, with the descriptive-analytical method, within the framework of the school of constructivism and based on Leach's eight-point pattern of norm-avoidance, the collection of quartets "Oak sonata" by Jalil Safarbeigi has been investigated. The results of the research show that in this work, semantic deviance has been considered with the highest frequency compared to other types, and other deviances are in the next ranks with a great difference and with much less expression.
