The purpose of this research is to study the phenomenon of female suicide in Helilan city, one of the functions of Ilam province, using qualitative method. In order to achieve this goal, in-depth interviews were conducted with 20 women and girls who have committed suicide or whose relatives have committed suicide. The theoretical support of this research is a look at Durkheim's two theories of suicide, and the other is Giddens's view regarding the impact of modernity on people's sociability and how their identity is formed. According to the findings of this research, factors such as the emergence of the media, the development of schools and universities, and the growth and development of suburban transportation on the one hand, and the expansion of factors such as family disputes, forced marriages, domestic violence, divorce, slander, surveillance Maximum and forced coverage have had a significant impact on the formation and increase of suicide.
