Entrepreneurship and Its Role in Sustainable Rural Development (Case Study: Ilam province)

One of the important tools to plan and achieve development of rural communities is entrepreneurship. Today, due to problems in rural areas, the emphasis is given to rural entrepreneurship  for it is of utmost importance, creating new employment and income opportunities for entrepreneurship and can play an important role in improving the economy and living conditions. The main objective of this study was to determine the development of entrepreneurship and its role in sustainable development in rural areas of Ilam province. The research was descriptive - analytical and data collection was library and information field analysis of a single sample. T-test was used to analyze the main components. The statistical population was Ilam province top entrepreneurs among whom 50 entrepreneurs were selected to complete the questionnaire. The results show that the factors influencing entrepreneurship economic factor in the study area are the most influential factor in the economic indexes, banking facilities with an average (3/64) as the highest rating. Such inferences can be made from the results, one of the areas of rural entrepreneurship for job creation is in agriculture and non-agricultural sectors and one of the most important factors in achieving sustainable development is the rural areas.
