Publication Ethics

Publication Ethics of the Journal

Ethical charter of article publishing

  • The ethical policy of the "Farhange Ilam" quarterly is based on the confidentiality of the arbitration process, or "double-blind review,”; that is, both the reviewer and author identities are concealed from the reviewers, and vice versa. Reviewers, editors and specialized editors must adhere to this ethical policy in cooperation with this publication.
  • At the time of submitting the article, the authors must pledge that their article is the result of an original research work and has not been published elsewhere in any language or sent to another journal for review.
  • Reviewers must adhere to ethical principles in evaluating articles and evaluate articles confidentially and solely based on scientific principles, emphasizing their content.
  • The reviewers help the authors in improving the quality of the articles by providing their constructive comments and suggestions.
  • Any type of copying of other people's works without mentioning the source is considered a violation, and scientific or literary plagiarism is unethical and unacceptable.
  • The final decision regarding the publication of the article is based on the opinions of the reviewers and members of the editorial board of the journal, and based on the ethical policy of the journal, the editor-in-chief may also consult with the editors in making the decision.  This ethical policy determines which issue of the journal will be published in the research article accepted in the reviewing process.

Publisher Responsibilities

  • The publisher undertakes to abide by the decisions of the editor-in- chief and editorial board regarding all articles, and these decisions are made solely on the basis of professional judgment and will not be influenced by any commercial interests.
  • The publisher constantly undertakes to monitor and control the adherence to ethical principles by the editor-in-chief, editors, and members of the editorial board, reviewers, authors, and the specialized secretary of the publication.
  • The publisher undertakes to keep the personal information of the authors of the articles to all those who have access to it; such as the editor, members of the editorial board, the internal and executive director of the publication and other active agents (other than the corresponding author) such as reviewers and editors must be completely confidential and protected at all times; except in the case of plagiarism, where it is unimpeded to provide the information to the relevant follow-up committee.
  • The publisher undertakes to make decisions about the articles with fair judgment and issues such as race, gender, religious beliefs, ethnicity and citizenship or the political character of the authors are not involved in this decision.

  • The editor-in-chief must adhere to the anonymity of the reviewers’ information.
  • The editor-in-chief must avoid any conflict of interest and disclose it if there is a conflict of interest.
  • The editor-in-chief should always investigate issues related to academic or literary plagiarism and invalid and fake data and, if necessary, publish corrections, clarify or remove that article from the list of published articles.
  • According to the policy of the quarterly, the editor-in-chief should maintain double-blindness of the reviewers and authors.
  • The editor-in-chief must not disclose the information and content of the articles to anyone other than the original author, reviewers and editors.

  • Reviewers' judgments about the quality and content of the articles should be far from any bias and solely based on expert and objective opinions.

Responsibilities of the authors

  • It is necessary to observe the basic principles of writing and research in writing articles, and the articles should be written and organized according to the magazine format (Authors' guide).

  • If the authors see a mistake in their published article, they should inform the editor as soon as possible so that the article can be corrected or deleted.
  • Authors should note that submitted articles are checked for similarity with other published works by similarity search software; for this reason, authors are expected to check their article for plagiarism before sending it and send the copy file to the journal.
  • After the article is accepted and in the publishing stage, adding a new author or changing the responsibility of the authors is not allowed. If an author wants to be removed from the list of authors, he must submit a letter to the collective consent of other authors to be removed from the list of authors.  Any change in the order of authors also requires the signing of a letter of agreement by all authors.
