A Study on the Position and the Role of Abu Jafar Seymari on the Political and Social Developments during Buwayhid Era

Abstract

Abu Jafar Seymari was a prominent political-militarist figure of the age of Buwayhid and a Shiite Minister of Ahmed Moezedole. This study seeks to answer this question, what was Abu Jafar Seymari’s position and role in thepoliticaland social movements of that time? The results of this essay conducted in descriptive _Analytical method and using the resources, show that Moezedole in the time of conquest of khozestanandoccupation of Baghdad wasyoungandimmature man, so he needed a gimmick Ministerlike Abu Ja'farSeymary to analyze the situations. Before Moezedole's attackonKhozestan, Seymary wastax collector ofSusaand in theKhozestancapturehascontributed significantly helptohim. Abu Ja'far is from Seymareh (Dareshahr city of Ilam province), fluent in Arabic and a translator for Moezedole in Baghdad. Also, Seymari had an important rolein the policy and the militaryin thecourtofMoezedole, and Moezedoledid not act without consulting Seymari, so that Moezedole according to Seymari's suggestion neglected changing the Abbasid’s Caliphate with a Shiite Caliphate.
