The Relationship between Emotional Intelligence and Job Performance by the Moderator of Conflict Management (Case Study: Ilam Gas Refinery Company)

Abstract

In this paper the relationship between emotional intelligence and job performance was examined in Ilam gas refinery by moderator role of conflict management strategies. For this purpose, a comprehensive conceptual model by reviewing the literature was developed and it was put to the test by descriptive and correlational method. The statistical population was also government employees working in Ilam Gas Refinery, the sample size was determined through Cochran's formula. The sample was selected by classification sampling method. In order to collect data,  standard questionnaires were used. Afterward, statistical analysis was performed using SPSS software. The results showed that there is a direct relationship between emotional intelligence and job performance in Ilam gas refinery, and conflict management strategies, moderated the relationship between emotional intelligence and job performance
