Abstract

One of the natural and unpredictable events experienced by past and present human beings, is the earthquake, which has always been tried to be managed in different ways. When natural disasters occur, human settlements, especially cities, are at greater risk. Resilience to the ability to recover after unexpected circumstances or events and the severity of the disruption that the system can absorb before the structure of the system becomes a different structure by changing the variables and processes controlling its behavior. The main objective of this research is to measure the resilience of the villages of Ilam province against earthquakes. Therefore, the question of study is that the status of earthquake resiliency assessment in the villages of Ilam province. This research is applied in terms of its purpose and in terms of its nature and method, descriptive-analytical, based on library studies and field studies. The required information was gathered in two stages through study and extraction from available sources and experts' opinions; finally, they were merged with the Delphi method. After extraction of indices, weights of the indices were obtained using multivariate model (AHP-FUSSY) and then analyzed by GIS software CoKriging model. The analysis of the results shows that among the research measures, the highest value of weight is the original fault measure with a weight of 507.0. After that, the sub-fault and earthquake focal points with weights of 252/0, 241/0 were the next priorities. The results of the analysis show that the most vulnerable districts are Morvari, Abanar, Bijnvand, Shabab, Sarabbagh and Hendmini. The safest districts are Hijdandasht, Zardalan, Abu Ghavir, Zarnah districts. And Seyed Nasrallah, hence being less vulnerable.
