In this study, using documents and fieldwork, the relationship between public participation and rural development in selected villages of Sirvan and Chardavol Counties of Ilam province in which 316 heads of households, in the 6 village of samples, were studied. To gather data and identify the status of participation in selected villages the questionnaire technique  was used and to achieve this goal, after preparing the questionnaire and assess its validity, the questionnaires were distributed among sample individuals, and the results were used to confirm or reject hypotheses. Gathered information has been analyzed in descriptive part by Excel software and in analytical part with use of analytic statistics (Mann-Whitney U and Wilcox on W) by SPSS software. Findings show that the component of traditional contributions – Social, of the total number of 6 index, nearly 5 index hadn’t a significant relationship with rural development, and in the participation in political affairs and involvement in the administration (of new partnerships aside from the one index, in all other indicators, significant relationship was observed with the development of rural of Sirvan and Chardavol counties.   امروزه، اهمیّت مشارکت مردم و نقش مؤثر آنها در حرکت به سمت توسعۀ پایدار روستایی بر کسی پوشیده نیست و روشن است که آنها برای حرکت به سمت توسعه‌ای پویا و پایدار که متعلق به نسل‌های امروز و آینده باشد، باید از دسترسی به فواید توسعه، احساس رضایت کنند. در این تحقیق با استفاده از روش اسنادی و میدانی، رابطۀ مشارکت مردمی و توسعۀ روستایی در روستاهای نمونۀ شهرستان‌های سیروان و چرداول - از توابع استان ایلام - بررسی شده است که در آن 316 نفر از سرپرستان خانوار، در 6 روستای نمونه، مورد مطالعه قرار گرفتند. برای گردآوری اطلاعات و شناسایی وضعیت مشارکت در روستاهای نمونه، از تکنیک تکمیل پرسش‌نامه، استفاده شد و برای دستیابی به این هدف، پرسش‌نامه‌ها پس از تهیه و بررسی اعتبار و روایی، در بین افراد نمونه، توزیع و از نتایج آنها برای تأیید یا رد فرضیه‌ها استفاده گردید. اطلاعات گرد‌آوری شده در بخش توصیفی به‌وسیلۀ نرم‌افزار Excel و در بخش تحلیلی با استفاده از آماره تحلیلی (یومان ویتنی و ویلکاکسون) در نرم‌افزار SPSS تجزیه و تحلیل شد. یافته‌های تحقیق نشان می‌دهد که در مؤلفۀ مشارکت‌های سنتی - اجتماعی، تعداد 5 شاخص، از مجموع 6 شاخص، رابطۀ معناداری با توسعۀ روستایی نداشتند و در مؤلفه‌های مشارکت در امور سیاسی و مشارکت در امور اجرایی (از نوع مشارکت‌های جدید)، به ‌غیر از یک شاخص، در تمامی شاخص‌های دیگر، رابطۀ معنادار با توسعۀ روستاهای شهرستان‌های سیروان و چرداول مشاهده شد. https://www.farhangeilam.ir/article_16229_0c13d6d3b3743756e05bd42f3afb2d52.pdf
